Is design indeed a tool that makes the world turn round. These interesting times ask for the creativity and engagement of all. And design festivals are the perfect places for people to meet, discuss, cocreate, design, prototype, experiment, explore. I will zoom in on World Design Weeks and the aim of our network.

The importance of design festivals is to not only depolarize, but to embrace diversity and direct collaborative energy towards positive change. As World Design Weeks we are all different but we’ve got love for design in common.

Celebrating design is what we do, to enhance the impact of the design. For this I will zoom in on some designers that demonstrate this during Dutch Design Week. And of course my talk will have this Dutch touch, representing the festival I work for since almost the beginning.

3 key tips participants will gain after the lecture

  • Hire a designer when you want to create positive impact and engage people in processes of change for the better
  • Become a designer when you want to create positive impact and engage people in processes of change for the better
  • Unite yourself in multidisciplinary partnerships – depolorisation leads to interesting friction and harmonious results

Lecture within the framework of the POLARIZATION BLOC.
