The exhibition titled Duplicate - unique. Coexistence of opposites represents two different aspects of design, which coexisting with each other as they overlap in spite of the contrasts. Definitions of a duplicate - unique related to the concepts of universalism and individualism, repeat ability and individuality leave place for the smooth interpenetration of these opposites.

We present an innovative furniture for serial production as an indispensable element of arranging human space and clothing, as a covering of the silhouette in a subjective and universal approach. Furniture designed for mass production, it can bear the hallmarks of individualism, both because of its creator and recipient - the user. Clothing through unique treatment of matter, or unusual combination of typical raw materials takes on unique features, but also gives a wide range of applications depending on individual needs.

Perception of form, matter and structure, testing the properties of materials, learning about available technologies - these are the elements necessary to create furniture forms. Furniture design is a space for the development of creative inventions, predispositions and personal sensibilities, as well as a place for careful analysis of the design process and conscious action in creating the environment.

Clothing, textiles and jewelery exist as a coherent content of the concept of fashion. They are always associated with all activities of human existence and therefore they are the area of various references, compilations, reinterpretations or experiments. The ability to develop an individual language of expression, looking for new challenges and new directions of development and sources of inspiration, open the way for unconventional solutions and setting such perspectives that are also created outside the rules of fashion.

From all areas of design, fashion seems to be the most strongly associated with our personal sense of identity.

None of these forms would be created without the physical touch of the hands of the authors treating the chosen medium in a very personal way. The mutual interpenetration of structures, textures and colors is a field of endless inspiration for new, unique ideas and their applications.

Presented works of students of the Industrial Design Institute of the Koszalin University of Technology in the field of furniture, fashion and jewelry are their personal language of interest, search and creation.
