How design might help business thrive? In the times of unexpected turns and dynamic market changes, how can we make the best use of management tools and techniques in order to enhance the business potential of our companies? How can the innovation culture fuel product, service and business model design and enable us to respond wisely to the novel needs of our customers?
July 2019 marks the fourth time when entrepreneurs, designers and change architects will meet at Design Talks Business: Summit in Gdynia. Throughout two-day long event, attendees will become familiar with real market cases, practical strategic design tools that can enable them to address changes in their business environments better. Participants will receive useful tools and techniques essential in the process of product and service innovation, defining market potential and customer needs or integrating creative culture within their organisations. As the attendees and speakers blend into an international crowd, the event will enable attendees to discover inspiring perspectives and real-life cases from various markets.
The need for new strategic methods and tool is underlined by dynamic market changes affecting product, service and business model design. Sticking to old habits puts companies to the risk of producing the same, old solutions. Design seen as a tool, process, work culture and strategy enables today's companies to generate solutions aligned with today's market needs. Design Talks Business: Summit is a space for meetings, sharing experiences and networking. We invite you to join 350 creative entrepreneurs and entrepreneurial designers who will attend this year's summit.
Polarisation, the theme of Gdynia Design Days in 2019, will follow us throughout the event as the areas such as will be covered: future - roots, minimalism - overconsumption, localness - globalisation, me - us, online - offline, heart - mind. These antymonies mirror complexity and heterogeneity of present needs and values today's customers expect. Each of them carries insightful information and potential during the times of constant change, uncertainty and duality of market needs.
We will kick into the first day of the event with inspiration session, where together with our speakers we will discuss new ideas and paradigm shifts. Three experts will share their perspectives and experiences based on years of research and observation of changing societies. We will boldly talk about the work where it's not just the focus on the customer, but an eye on creativity culture in business, employee wellbeing and social and environmental impact simply pays off.
Participants will deepen their insight at our Theme-focused Tables hosted by our partners from leading Polish and British consulting agencies. They will interact with attendees and share insights, valuable tools and practical tips. The first break intends to allow attendees to become more familiar with each theme, learn new inspiring tools and deliver practical know-how that can be implemented in one's daily work environment. Theme-focused Tables provide the possibility to dive deeper in particular themes, share experiences and learn from others' perspectives. Additionally, attendees seeking re-energising and willing to enhance their oxygen flow after the first session will get the chance to join the actual warm-up outside, at the PPNT patio. We'll ensure the pleasant vibe and just enough space for all the conversations at the crossroads of design and business during the break.
Next phase of DTB: summit – case study is intended cover real product/service stories shared by those who were behind creating and implementing them. It's where we'll get to know where the hurdles, challenges, epic moments of success and finding potential were.
Workshops are The let's-get-to-work part of our event, where attendees will take the lead and learn by themselves how to make the best use of the tools enabling change within business. Each of the workshops is specifically tailored to the vision of DTB: summit, as it aims to enable attendees to become maximally familiar with particular tools/methodologies within a short time span.
