The exhibition was designed to limit the materials used - a large part of them are recycled waste or materials from other exhibitions.
The average temperature on the Earth is currently higher than at the end of the 19th century by 0.85°C. Since the measurements began in 1850, each of the last three decades has been warmer than the previous one. The main cause of warming is human activity. Under the Paris Agreement of 2015, the first ever legally binding climate treaty, signed by 195 countries, an action plan was adopted to protect our planet by limiting global warming to below 2°C.
We are only that far, and perhaps even less, from the ecological disaster. And yet, a legally binding agreement remains only an ambitious plan. Most of the parties did not take steps to fulfill their commitments.
Meanwhile, human activities, largely fueled by excessive and unjustified consumption, have an increasing impact on the environment. Greenhouse gas emissions from fossil fuels are the main cause of climate change. An important factor is also direct interference in the biosphere, though cutting down rainforests, as well as animal husbandry. Also the maintenance of the internet results in increasing CO2 emission.
